Catholic Engaged Encounter, Inc. (“We,” “Our,” or “Us”) is a nonprofit organization under section 501(c)3 of the US Internal Revenue Code. As such, We may not be required to follow some US data protection statutes aimed at companies that process consumer data for profit. Still, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy will help you understand how and why We collect information from you on https://engagedencounter.com/ and webpages sharing the same domain (the “Site”) and how We may use that information. Our policies and systems are designed to give you a private, secure means of communicating with us and using Our Site. The Effective Date of this Privacy Policy is set forth at the top of this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Site after the Effective Date constitutes your acceptance of the amended Privacy Policy. Any amended Privacy Policy will be published on this page and supersedes all previous versions. 1. Information We collect from You.


We ask you for personally identifiable information (such as name, mailing address, and email address) when you visit Our Site, submit information, request information, or register for an Engaged Encounter retreat. You can choose not to provide this information and still visit Our Site, but you may not be able to register to participate in a retreat without disclosing personal information. We also collect non-personally-identifiable information such as the operating system and browser in use. This information is aggregated to measure the number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed, etc.


2. Cookie Policy.


In order to provide personalized custom services, the Site uses cookies to track information about you. A cookie is a tiny element of data that the site can send to your browser, which may then be stored on your device so that We can recognize you when you navigate Our Site. We use the information We collect from cookies to better personalize the content that you and others may see on Our Site. We always provide an email address so that you may opt-out or unsubscribe from any or all communications from Us. We use the aggregate non-personally-identifiable to measure the use of Our Site and to improve its content, products and services. 6. Data Processing Location.


Any Personal Information collected about visitors through the Site is processed in the United States by us or by a party acting on Our behalf. When you provide Personal Information to us through the Site, you consent to the processing of your data in the United States. The Site is hosted in the United States.


7. Children’s Data.


The Site is not intended for use by children. If you are under the age of majority in your place of residence, you may use the Site only with the consent of or under the supervision of your parent or legal guardian.


8. Security.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personally identifiable information as you transmit your information from your computer to Our Site and to protect this information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
